Business Development Section Business Development Section is accessing all business services required by SMMEs to make their businesses successful. Services includes: • Pre-and –post counseling • Business trainings (start-ups trainings, costing, marketing, stock control, bookkeeping) • Business plans • Business profile • Tax compliance (income tax number, tax returns, tax clearances, vat number) • Filling in tender documents, workshops and training • Business registrations (close corporation, co-operatives, section 21 company, PTY Ltd) • Assistance with provincial and local database registration • Assistance with CIDB certification • Mentoring and after-care International Finance Corporation (IFC) IFC is preparing SMMEs to access credit for their businesses by providing capacity of SMMEs and providing them with non-financial support that will eventually help them access credit or finance. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) Is empowering SMMEs with businesses and technical skills necessary to realize high income and create more businesses and employment opportunities through: • Strengthening of MDIC as ne-stop-shop for Local Business Service Centre (LBSC) in UMkhanyakude District. • Networking and linkages with relevant stakeholders • Development of SMMEs support programmes • Development of database for all SMMEs in the district
